We competed well against a super team...turnovers, over-eager DBs, and some bad officiating did us in. But in the 4Q we were 3 points out. Offense had 27 first downs, nearly 200 yards rushing against a stout OU front while limiting OU to 107 yards on the ground. We had 369 yards total on offense. BIG XII road games are very hard to win. We all know that.
I believe we are a bowl team.
Look for us to be 4-1 and beat an undefeated OSU Cowboys team on Saturday night.
Don't be a Sunshine fan...recruiting has been super and will continue to be so. We're growing into the B12 now and have more quality talent to compete, extending into the 2nd string. Case in point: Remember losing to Kansas because of the quality drop-off after 1st string injuries? I said in the beginning, it takes 4-5 years to start to establish a team in a power conference....we're right on track. True fans know it and they continue to support the team without calling them out by name and being ugly.
Yes, I'm disappointed, but I know this team gives me much to be proud of....and the fan base support is outstanding.
Unlike Marshall fans, we show up in the stadium and don't confuse the word "Home" in Home game with one's domicile or easy chair. We're there...with capacity crowds, rocking our stadium, and loving our team and band.
Let's Go Mountaineers!!
