Lose to TCU and Baylor and win everything else. Looks like OU, Baylor and TCU all fighting for the league crown and the rest of us are clearly a level below.

We're in the same ball park. I'm thinking 8-4 with losses to TCU, Baylor and probably K-State. I know it doesn't make sense to predict a win over Ok. State and a loss to K-State but we play K-State on the road at the end of the season.

9-3, but I think we split the Baylor/TCU games and lose to a team we shouldn't.

We seriously need to beat KState. They have our number.

Now the euphoria of having the No. 1 defense in the country (past tense) has worn off, I think most WVU fans would be thrilled with 9-3, maybe even 8-4.
Reaching a bowl game should be easy enough since Kansas, Iowa State and Texas are still left to be played.
But I think we all would love to have WVU in the top half of the Big 12 standings, instead of at the bottom half with Kansas and Iowa State. If WVU goes 0 for October, the Mountaineers would be smack dab in last place with Kansas and/or Iowa State.
Oklahoma State game is a chance to right the ship. No excuses. Just do it!

M ighty defense throttled Georgia Southern, 44-0

O utstanding defense obliterated Liberty, 41-17

U nilaterally decimated Maryland, 45-6, on defense and offense

N oxious offense & special teams against Oklahoma, 44-24

T rample Oklahoma State

A nnihilate Baylor

I ncinerate TCU

N ail Texas Tech

E rectile dysfunction Texas

E viscerate Kansas

R ip open a new one for Iowa State

S kewer Kansas State

Most of this board, myself included, was on an unwarranted high after the MD game; fed by lovely, but skewed statistics. Most of this board, myself included, predicted 9-3 or 8-4 before the season started. WV is good this year, not great. Either of those records would be a big improvement over the last 3 seasons. I'm planning on enjoying the rest of the season and a decent bowl game, while hopefully watching the team, the coaching staff and the program in general improve. Let's just hope against hope that OK and K State don't become WV's new Penn State. By the way, how many of you noticed that several teams ranked ahead of WV suffered worse losses last weekend? Or that stinking Michigan, now ranked ahead of WV (that's what happens when you win) didn't handled MD as well as the Mountaineers?

No one has come out looking dominate this year so far and certainly not the anointed teams. I think we take 2 of the next 3 and sail through the rest of the season. Not saying we wont do something incredible brain scratching with Texas or KSU, but both are much worse than year than they have been since we have been in the Big 12. My prediction is that we go 10-2, draw equitable opponent in a bowl that we make look incredible and they blasts us out of the game.

I'm thinking same 8-4 with a bowl victory...I have a feeling that K-State game will be quite close, and being that it's last game of season REALLY mean something...win it and 9-3? Maybe....

9-3 would equate to a great season! 8-4 would be successful one! Im leaning towards 8-4 so i don't get my heart crushed!

9-3 would be much better than losing 5 or 6 in a row, which is also a possibility. Saturday night's game looks pivotal -- as it goes, so goes the season.

5 or 6 in row? Wow! If we lose that many I'm calling for heads to roll! Not that that would matter! My expectations are alot higher than that for this team!

I'm afraid Baylor will light us up; the score board will be rolling numbers faster than a pin ball machine. I can hear the bell a ringin like crazy, see the lights flashin like lightin bolts, and see the "bonus ball" indicator lit up. I got a ban feelin about this.

I think we are good enough to win out. No one else on this schedule plays as physical as we are right now except maybe K-State. And once you get past the window dressing of this scheme or that scheme it comes down to blocking and tackling.
That being said I think we split TCU and Baylor. (I'm thinking Baylor won't hang with our physical play.) I see huge improvements in our coaching. The only thing that scares me is the fact that history proves we will have a 3-4 game stretch where we look like a division 2 school.
