Most WVU fans would be ready to run Dana out of town. So the team not being motivated and fundamentally sound is on the players not the coaches now? Will it go back to being the coaches fault if this happens during football season?

On this we agree. Huggins has proven a lot at WVU and other places ... Dana has proved nothing as a head coach. Basketball plays multiple games per week and there is more room for error. A football game like this can derail an entire season. Not an equitable comparison and Huggins has earned a little faith from the fan base.

A Basketball season is a marathon in comparison to a football season. We did not play well tonight we will probably have another game like we did tonight before we get to the tourney but i am sure we will win some big games before tourney time. all that we can hope for is we have are A game come tourney time

Are you dumb? Must be for even bringing up this comparison. Yeah, IF Holgerson had taken WVU to the cusp of BCS titles or something then maybe you would have an equal comparison. Huggs has taken us to a Final Four, and sweet 16's, and had a couple of mediocre seasons and a bad season mixed in.

It is ok to like Hogerson and Huggins! I just do not understand why some people believe if you like one you cannot like the other one. I support both of them and attend every Football and Basketball game that I can. Neither one of them are perfect, but we could do worse!

Twelve game football season vs. 30+ games basketball season. Big difference.

A true tourney in BBall as well...even bigger difference. Huggs will use this crappy effort as a hammer to beat these guys over the head with for the rest of the season.

Like I said, I like both coaches. But in all fairness, Football almost requires perfection in order to win, and losses are not as forgiving. In Basketball, all you have to do is be one of the 64 or 65 best, and you have a shot to make a lot of noise. In College Football, you almost have to be perfect to have a chance at anything outside of some Bowl game that a lot of fans do not even care about. Eight or nine great athletes is enough to have a pretty good Basketball team while you need close to 60 to have the same results at Football. I don't care what anybody says, it is not as easy. Anyway, we have one of the best in Huggins, and I am thankful to have him, while, in my opinion, Holgerson is starting to show that he is capable of coaching players up, which is probably what separates Huggins from everybody else, his ability to make somewhat average players a lot better!

Do you not understand Huggins resume at wvu? You have to understand that each game in the big 12 is a grind? There may be a couple more games like the tx game where the guys are off and everything is a struggle. It's unfortunate but it happens.
Just be happy wvu has Huggins and he's had this team in the top 20 for most of this year.
