John Calipari said on his call-in show Monday night that his team has been involved in every type of game this season and that Cincinnati and UK's next opponent, West Virginia's physical style, is just testing out the latest theory.
Calipari says he's heard 'em all.
"I've heard a thousand ways to beat us," Calipari said. "None of them have worked."
Indeed they have not.
The Wildcats became just the third team in the last 15 years to outscore its opponents by at least 21 points per game in the regular season (21.2 ppg), joining 2000-01 Duke (21.5) and 2007-08 Kansas (21), both of whom went on to win the national championship.
Now, 36-0, UK assistant John Robic, who filled in for Calipari for the last half of the show, said the proof is in the pudding.
"You've had 36 ways to try and beat us and we've answered all challenges."
