I saw Oppenheimer at an IMAX theater this afternoon.

I strangely liked Oppenheimer but I'm not sure I'd recommend Oppenheimer.

The reason, they spent 1/2 the movie undermining the debate of why the bomb was actually used. And they attempted to destroy Oppenheimer, the man's life.

And maybe the truth is hard to digest but the bomb Ultimately saved millions of lives & years of torment.

Truman was a bad ass - Even touched on briefly.

FDR's admin was filthy with communist. Even his VP was suspected.

Truman was a bad ass - Even touched on briefly.
It was estimated that the US would suffer 1 million casualties in the invasion and defeat of Japan. Taking the 10% rule, 100,000 dead. The Japs had convinced their subjects that the US soldiers would rape and kill everybody so the women and children were going to fight to the death. The Emperor still was hesitant to surrender.

It's amazing they could make a 3-hour snoozefest and NOT EVEN MENTION THE BIGGEST CASE IN THE COUNTRY...
