I only wish we had a Christian Laettner type of player on our team

Don't see players like him anymore, classic old school basketball. Tall, athletic, great shooter very passionate, mean streak, etc.

Today's basketball is too soft for players like that these days.

Great documentary last night.

I didn't watch the documentary, but hopefully I'll catch it on Netflix.

He was an underrated pro. Played around 10 years, made an all-star game and his career averages aren't bad. He blew out his achilles (I think) and wasn't the same player afterwards. I was watching a ton of NBA during that time and he always seemed like a player you wanted on your team.

I love tough players who play with some hate. That's missing from the NBA right now, the players are all friends - I hate that.

Completely agree, he definitely had a very underrated professional career. He had some injury issues but when he was healthy he was a solid 15 pts. 7 reb type of guy.

I think the ref's are too soft now a days rather than the players. They simply look like they are guessing when they call fouls so people are timid to even make contact with anybody.

If a current player did the Laettner foot-stomp people would go bananas and the game would stop for 15 minutes while the ref's huddled over monitors analyzing it like the Zapruder film.

We did have a football version of CL that broke the hearts of Marshall fans everywhere....Geno Smith.
