Is WVU a very different place… always treated and managed differently than other places because of the obvious, stereotypical and financially challenged reasons….

Do we have to recruit and hire in a very different way ??

Full disclosure and out of character for me here…

One of my immediate actions after seeing a recruit or potential coaching hire is to see where they went to college or from what part of the country they are from…

I knew Beilein was a nomad…. I thought Devries would be a long term fit, but I guess his family never bought in…

We really need to recruit and hire with that in mind…. And it will always be hard because most of my life I only knew Nehlen and Catlett for decades and they just stuck around.

I know those days are over (20 year guys) for everyone across the college sports landscape but I think WVU needs to get back to this approach despite the difficulty it creates for each recruit sought after and each hire made.

Thoughts ?? And before you answer, Devries and Peluzit are the cautionary tales for the Wren Baker tenure, I guess.
