this was a must win for Dana, he has got to improve his recruiting and that is why this was so important. Dana deserves what he gets.
I'm no Howard hater and I'm glad we won (of course) but we left a lot of points out there had Howard been sharper. He misses too many throws. Despite his good numbers, he could've thrown for close to 700 yards had he hit a couple wide open receivers. We could've won by 20 had he hit those.

I thought he did pretty well, and yes he missed on more than one, and also had very catchable balls dropped...all in all with the state of the depleted D, I think we did about as well as could be expected...nice to get the W....
To be fair to the defense, how many possessions did ASU get with great field position? Seems like they rarely started beyond the 50 yard line.
Well when your playing a team that has the 112 best defense in college football you would expect a QB to have good numbers. When you play in a conference that is more like the ACC than Sec you would expect better numbers than what he put up this year.

I am happy for the win but beating a 6-6 team doesn't change the fact that the team underachieved. Everything must be put into perspective if you are one the people who believes that 7-5 seasons are the norm for this program in this overrated conference then you are truly selling the program short

He also surpassed 5 other NFL QB's who have played in that bowl including Drew Brees and Mark Bulger. I'd say that's pretty good!
Calm down. We beat a 6-6 team by 1 point. I'm happy we won. But to say this win should "shut up" criticism on Holgorsen is ridiculous.
Warez....it worked great last night and I love the win.... Not so much against the other 5 teams we lost to. A couple more completions against KST or OSU and we're at a whole new level. That was my point man....nothing more.
Bowl matchups are not so scientific and may not be attributed to season records. As they say... it is what it is. We went up against a Pac 12 team that won their way into the bowl. We had no experience with Pac 12 teams. We came out of the arena a winner. We were the 2nd Big 12 team to beat a Pac 12 this week. What more do you want? A win is a win and it was a well designed one.
Looked like Patterson was coaching our defense when we played Baylor the first time considering how bad we got torched by Baylor and how bad we torched ASU.
