But, then she goes after him, pushes him, then follows that up by hitting him in the face. He's a 230 pound man and in no way was threatened physically by her. Furthermore, he's a representative of the university and should've walked away. Under no circumstances does a man hit a woman unless you're life is in danger, which his was not. I'm shocked that this had to be explained to you or anyone else on why what he did was wrong. But with that said I also feel she should be held accountable for her actions as well. I have a daughter and the behavior by both parties I would not tolerate whatsoever. But that does not mean getting her jaw wired shut by a right cross

Mixon has never weighed 230 lbs. in his life, especially 2.5 years ago when this incident took place. He clearly doesn't weigh 230 in that video.
He did walk away. That is my point. But, when somebody comes after you with the intent to cause you physical harm when you try to walk away, you should not be obligated to let them cause you physical harm without diffusing the situation with your own return of being physical. He should only be allowed to hit her if his life is in danger? She could tase him, shoot him in the foot, and do numerous other very painful things without his life ever being in danger. Is he still not allowed to hit her to stop the threat of him causing more physical pain/injuries to him? Again, Rhonda Rousey weighs the same as that girl. She could cause some damage hitting a guy in the face. Is a guy who tries walking away not able to defend himself in that situation?

The point of that was to show that her character is already in question. She went after him, after he tried walking away, pushed him, then hit him in the face. Putting all of those things together, was he supposed to turn his back to her and try walking away again knowing she would probably attack again?
He has every right to defend himself when he tried walking away and she attacked him and became physical. He should not have to take the risk of turning his back again and getting hurt - either temporarily or more seriously - due to her negligence. I can't imagine any of you disagree with that. Now, if you have a problem with the amount of force he used, then fine. We can discuss that. But, to claim a guy shouldn't be able to hit a girl unless his life is at stake if absurd.
Ok so he was less than 230, probably closer to 200-210 then but it doesn't change the point. If you look at the video the first time she throws a punch at him you could tell she was no "Ronda Rousey" that's an absurd comparison, she obviously had no taser, or gun either. He went as far as faking a punch then actually throwing one. Her jaw was damaged as a result of the punch which caused her to hit the table. Also, he followed her into the diner he just didn't simply walk away like you said.
He just ruined his life, he'll not be picked up by an NFL team and to boot he was just booted from his apartment for late rent. In the end justice will be served, which I'm glad to see.

Jeff Edwards (RIP) was that girls brother-in-law and our former center called me when he found out and asked me to meet him at that bar. We were close friends at MU and were working together then.
