Not surprising that a Herdiot thinks one game makes a season. I guess when your favorite team only plays one game "of note" every year that's what happens. As for us WVU fans, we've got lots of great teams on our slate every year, not just once in a while.
Hey Cousins, lose to VPI and it's another season of trying to make the Ham Biscuit Bowl...I want to see you boys win it all before I die!
And if Marshall loses their "playoff game" (as I've seen it referred to on the Marshall board) with Little Miami your season is over. Finished. Kaput, kind of like when Akron hung 65 points on the Herd last year.:cry:

Not quite. While losing to a quality program like VPI would be a disappointment for sure, we've got plenty of other nationally respected teams on the rest of our schedule and we will certainly win our share of those. A 7-5 season and we still get a decent bowl game. That's one of the benefits of belonging to a P-5 conference. Marshall on the other hand has to win their conference championship to be certain they will play in any bowl that pays well enough to cover the travel costs to get there.
A " decent bowl" is subjective ....win the damn National Championship before I die will you? Actuary table says I have about 14 years left!
I'm starting to think you might be right...as you know the Cousins call me everything from a hater, to a dumbass to a closet Mountie! Maybe I'm all three but if the Herd can't win the trophy, I'll pull for the Mounties but I'd like to see them actually win something worth the equal to the hot air the Cousins blow!

Your ifs and buts comments on the Marshall board make a lot more sense than what you post here. You should spend more time there.
I plan on being in Morgantown to share the National Championship with my Cousins...but won't be in attendance ( although most likely watching) some footnote Bowl! Beat VPI!
No offense, but I don't see you guys turning around a 3-9 season to get to 6-6. Especially with that head case you all have at a certain position (I'm being nice here in not mentioning the exact position). I can already hear the "fire Bill Legg" comments. Did you realize you guys only have 5 RBs on your roster? Seems pretty thin.
Can't remember the last time we had more than 5 RB's carry the ball in a particular season. But Chase is no doubt a wild card! He has some upside, he's big, strong and rifle armed but certainly his head and heart are suspect as you mentioned...we'll see, not sure what else to say!
I hope this is the year marshall breaks.500 in something other than wench softball....but it's doubtful
