The say the biggest improvement is from game 1 to game 2.

WVU got some work to do.

Our offensive timing was off at times. Some of it could have been from a QB with sensitive ribs. The 10 yd line and in was where we left a lot of pts on the field. Need improvement there. The backups on the line played well every where else. Ball security from WR and rbs was good.

Defense was pretty good. Tackling was NOT sloppy or scared. Only missed assignments was covering the slant patterns and mismatch on the TE.

Special Teams was really sound and fundamental. Good improvement from years back. Smart play and no drops or turnovers. The onside kick I'd overlook cause that's a crapshoot.

That's my uneducated view from where I sat.

I sure as heck hope so. We played well enough to beat an average team but not well enough to beat an elite team. I know it's just the first game, but, we really do lack a game changer.

Our offense played against the #2 defense measured by several metrics last year and returned almost all of them. What would you like to see? I think the dropped potential interceptions by our corners was the worst part of our game. Get a couple of those and "Boom" goes the game in a major way.

I didn't think we were very fast or very elusive on offense. We didn't really stretch the field and tended to be a bit tentative. We won, but, that's about it. It wasn't an epic beat down

The defense was good and (given that this was the first game and shouldn't be surprising) out played the offense. And maybe we didn't have to send a lot of pressure on the QB but I"d like to have seen a bit more of their qb on his butt.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy we won...but there are some areas that need improvement

Given the lack of returning starters on defense, I'm ecstatic. Their qb missed tons of open receivers, but I like how we played today. Biggest surprise was Crawford at TB.

Hard to stretch a D when they are good enough to double cover both wide outs.

I wonder do that old rule apply to all schools or just to WVU. I sure hope only to WVU!

I was pleasantly surprised by our defense. Our redzone O was a disappointment with 4 field goals and 2 TDs but Mizzou has a good defense. Disappointed in the backup QBs. Very impressed with our O line, especially McKivitz stepping up. Justin Crawford is a beast. I hope someone posts the video of Arndt knocking their QB out of his shoe.
