Never understood the need for these type of posts. They are almost as useless as those that trash Hugs and the progrem
I assume he is saying that wanting to fire Huggs after this season for not winning the Big XII is the same as those not wanting to keep Holgs around for not winning the Big XII. This argument neglects that Huggins has a proven tract record as head coach of a basketball program, has won the Big East with WVU, took WVU to the Final Four, and while hasn't won the Big XII he has steadily improved from the poor season a few years ago, and lastly was in the Big XII race 2/3 of the way through the season. Holgs has never been a head coach, had a so-so season in the Big East (Recall we got trounced by a poor Syracuse team and lost to a middling Louisville team. WVU was lucky to win the Big East that year. but to his credit did deliver a great bowl win), has had 3 middling seasons and one awful season in the Big XII without ever really being in the league race after the mid point in Big XII play. Bottom line, if Holgs had some accomplishments as a football HC at other stops or in a previous season for WVU, he would have some leeway. However, 4.5 seasons in and Holgs has only achieved average seasons and in my opinion hasn't given me much hope that we are moving toward more than just that.

Actually the OP was in response to several prior posts trashing the play in a game we were initially trailing but ended up winning... with lots of second guessing on Coach Hugg's use of certain players. People don't seem to get sarcasm anymore. It had nothing to do with Coach Holgs, although I can see how someone might think that. .
That's why my initial post was "que?" because I wasn't exactly sure what the intent of the post was. Despite Huggins track record, it does not mean he is beyond criticism. But firing him is definitely much.
