I can't remember a team achieving less with more than Texas.

Texas has been the worst coached team in the country, for a long time running now. And this is no secret, more like common knowledge.

The only thing that has saved Barnes from getting replaced was his run with Kevin Durant. Other than that, Texas has always underachieved in basketball considering the talent they pull in.

Barnes has a solid resume but it may be time for both parties to move on, although Texas seems to have a knack for retaining under performing (to reasonable expectations for UT) coaches.

I get the sense Steve Patterson has no problem being the hatchet man and telling Barnes to GTFO.

Barnes and his talent on the court have really put a hurting on Huggs teams lately. That's a fact. What would Huggs do with the talent Texas gets? Hail.....................most of the players would defect. The money has to be right.

That's ny what's saving him. That team didn't even make the Sweet 16 if I remember correctly. What's saving him is UT doesn't give a crap about hoops, and so long as they make the tournament each year and don't embarrass themselves Barnes can stay. He is seemingly on thin ice though, perhaps the outcry from outside of the program is getting his seat warm.
