I really hope you are right. So far the only team (UVA) close to as good as OU or KU easily handled us after initially being discombobulated. I don't like ISU or Baylor either. ISU is not quite as good as last year, but still no slouch. Baylor also has the length still to break our press and force the game more into the half-court. We will upset a team or two along the way, but I do think WVU goes 0-2 against at least one Big XII opponent if not both the teams you mentioned. I think best case scenario WVU goes 12-5 in its last 17. But could easily be 8-9 because lets not forget that if WVU hadn't heated up its shooting, something WVU can't seem to consistently do, in that TCU game it could've been a loss.

I'm willing to bet the Virginia game will be a huge teaching tool for this team going forward. Against Virginia WVU didn't get alot of contribution from the whole team. That has not been the case since then. I think that loss showed the team what kind of effort is needed from everyone to be a Final Four caliber team. When you play 10-11 deep and want to succeed at the highest level you need everyone contributing. That wasn't the case that night. That is the case now.

The KU game will be a huge measuring stick, they're looking like a legit #1, last year when we played a legit #1 we lost in historically bad fashion, yes KU is not a once in a generation type of team like UK but we should hopefully be able to atleast compete if not win outright

Huggs has shown a propensity to have his team ready for KU.
OU is a different story.

lol

record vs Kansas:

2-4

record vs OK:

2-4

Average margin of victory vs. KU - 3pts

Average margin of victory vs. OK - 12pts

Average margin of defeat vs. KU - 13pts

Average margin of defeat vs. OK - 13pts

btw, I believe we get swept by the Jayhawks this season and split with the Sooners. We iso Heild and our press wears down the others on our home court. We are the 2nd of a 2-game road stretch for OK when we get them at home next month...... that will play.

As much as it pains me to agree with Keaton, I too have us losing 2 to KU and beating OU at home.

The good news is that neither of them is likely to play many games at as high a level as they did Monday night. That was one of the best college games I have ever seen.
