Huggins selected as the winner of the Furfari Award, given to the state's top college coach each year as voted on by the West Virginia Sports Writers Association.


LOL - Since Huggins essentially called the little piece of sh_t, Mickey Furfari, a liar last year for his dishonest reporting, I wonder if Huggins will even accept this silly award. Furfari who has been projecting the dumb and backward WV hillbillie image for 60+ years and never coached or even played sports for WVU gets some idiotic award named after him by a few of his press buddies. This is about as phony as Furfari's election to WVU Sports Hall of Fame and it wouldn't surprise me to see Huggins decline the award.

Furfari supposedly called Lyons and told him that WVU should have stayed in the Big East - the man is and always was a moron.

The University finally got rid of the trash that was hurting the Athletic Department for many years (Raese, Furfari, Parsons, etc.). This Den of Thieves padded their own pockets at the expense of student athletes, fans, and alumni. I hope that Lyons is smart enough not to have any association with this crowd who blackmailed Pastilong into submission and unsuccessfully attempted the same trick on Luck.

Furfari is the most undeserving person in WVU's Sports Hall of Fame and having his name associated with a coaching award is a big joke.
