Amen....... officiating is very inconsistent, hell, not only from crew to crew and conference to conference, but even from half to half in the same game by the same crew.
On the other hand, Huggins plays the game too. He's taught Devin how to muscle his way to the hoop. The game is really physical down low and its hard to defend strong guys. You get your occasional call on the offense, but more often its a call on the D or no call at all.
How do they handle positions in college. Do the keep the same positions all game long - if so that is one of reasons for differences. On ref under your bucket in the 1st half and another in the second.

I wonder if the Big 12 in particular has sent memos to its officials as they do in the NBA that it's basically OK to "manage" games so that they're always tight. By guaranteeing FT shooting contests, that's basically what they do. They make the Big East basketball refs look like perfection, though. Just bad all the way around.

if this wasn't created fouls weren't called. That is the better way to officiate. The calls on a slap 40 feet from the basket that created no advantage is why the game is 'unwatchable'. Putting people to the foul line every 40 seconds doesn't help the fans enjoy the game. Go back to calling it advantage/disadvantage and he is right the game will be more watchable.

How about removing those damned black and white striped shirts. You would think some of them are peacocks. Let them wear a plain white button down collar shirt and black pants. Maybe they will see themselves as nondescript instead of the real reason the fans came out to see them with whistles.

Hell I just want the officials to call a basic traveling violation. Players taking 3-4-5 steps to the basket is ridiculous.

That is what I am saying. Surprised that you recognize the offering since you suggest zilch. Incapable of an original thought or you are reasonably satisfied with the current officiating. Some call at middle school level on the touch fouls then others call at prolevel allowing 4-5 steps, and why not, they can dribble the ball over their head or get hand totally under ball during dribble.
And could probably avoid other teams doubling our score if we would not play the best teams. As we advance thru tournaments, just refuse to play teams that are twice as good as us. Does that solve your problem?

No, they are supposed to rotate after every call. That way we don't have one ref under our hoop calling it tight and they have a diff ref under their hoop letting them play.
