HUNTINGTON -- Marshall University men's basketball assistant coach and former Duke basketball standout Chris Duhon was arrested on a charge of aggravated DUI on Monday morning.

The charge stemmed from an incident in Putnam County.

Duhon, 33, was booked at the Western Regional Jail in Barboursville at 4:15 a.m. He was released on a $1,000 bond.

Marshall University's athletic department issued a statement saying Duhon has been suspended for a violation of department rules and policies.

The statement said no further comment on the matter would be issued.

Duhon was the first addition to second-year coach Dan D'Antoni's staff.

He won an NCAA title with the Duke Blue Devils in 2001 and played in the NBA for nine years.

Well, it worked for Huggy Bear for years maybe we should promote him to head coach?

I'd drink a lot as well if the only job I could get was on D'Antonio's coaching staff

I can't blame him for drinking the pain away. I drink myself into oblivion every Sunday before and after a Bills game.

Who?

It's not that we missed it. It's that we expect it from Marshall.

I would venture to say WVU has more alcohol related arrests by coaches than MU has. Holgs and Huggy have enough to pass out as freebies.

On Holgs arrests no I can't. On his alcohol related past those are well documented. Huggy, don't try to even defend him.

Those are well documented? I'll start: had the cross lanes casino incident. Your turn. Should ne easy since it's well documented....

The Intelligencer/Wheeling News-Register reported Saturday that Holgorsen allegedly was asked to leave both a bar inside Oglebay Park and, later, at Wheeling Island Hotel, Casino and Racetrack earlier this year.

Sources say there was also an incident at Pete Dye Golf Club in Bridgeport, W.Va., which involved Holgerson being told to leave and not come back. And, then, there are rumors of three incidents at the Morgantown hotel in which he lives, including being banned from the hotel bar.

Also, there are allegations he was asked to leave the Union Pub And Grill in Huntington on Oct. 28, 2008.Even if not all of these allegations are proven accurate, clearly there's enough veracity here to declare the initial casino incident far from an isolated occurence. Even worse, when there's this much evidence of a pattern of this kind of behavior, it throws serious doubts on Holgorsen's statement Wednesday that he would "not put [him]self in that situation again."

Wasn't this a Landon article?

Rumors and allegations do not equal "well documented"...

Sounds like that garbage Chuckie Mullet would write...
don't you love how they even brought up a possible incident from 2008 in Huntington? LOL Was he with Houston then as an assistant? Yeah, that 'well documented' article wasn't biased at all and it was completely filled with facts. [roll]

Oh my good lord. You realize you are citing Chuck Landon as a source, right? Now that, my friends is sad, but what is even sadder is how much time of your own life you used trying to validate a claim you made, but still all you could come up with was Chuck Landon. That is time you will never get back my friend.

Amazingly, Holgorsen being such a menace, has had no incidents for you sad little terds to latch on, and even more amazingly, again being such a menace, he has never been arrested for anything that he has supposedly been thrown out of bars for.

In this day and age of camera phones everywhere, no one managed to get any footage of these allegations.

Interesting.

It's kind of like those mythical tee shirts every one claimed to see, but no one could produce evidence of.

Asked to leave doesn't equal arrested.

Arrests for DUI, Marshall 1, WVU 0.

Looky there, they found something they can beat us at.

Doneagain = Gunnery Sergeant Hartman
Marine03 = Private Pyle

I guess that a Marshall education doesn't teach him big words like allegedly. He can fill in a coloring book, with crayons, with the best of them, though!
Allegedly is what makes Hank Hill run with a story like it is the gospel. His thing now is that we are padding our attendance figures.

I am still laughing my ass off about "well documented" meaning one story from the biggest hack in the business. Think of how much time Private Pyle has spent looking for corroborating information, since making that idiotic statement...

Maybe Chuck can help us with who killed JFK? His investigative skills are amazing

Yeah, that was a Landon article.

Chuck daring to comment on someone else drinking is akin to Tommy Chong calling out Snoop for smoking weed.

BTW, what is aggravated DUI? Did Duhon hurl on the Deputy's shoes when the officer woke him up passed out in the driveway?
