So being lucky doesn't count?Easy answer. They’ve been lucky and the opponents outside of PSU have been terrible. I cannot imagine Houston is any better after getting pounded by Texas Tech.
You clearly dont understand what the word terrible means....educate yourself and come back when you have something intelligent to say.Easy answer. They’ve been lucky and the opponents outside of PSU have been terrible. I cannot imagine Houston is any better after getting pounded by Texas Tech.
Boy....you got that right.West Virginia fan base is Dumber then expected.
I think you're being a little harsh. Tcu is not great, but they are at least average. Teams that are average or below average usually don't go on the road and beat other average teams. Texas Tech might be 2-3 but they have lost 3 games to teams with a combined record of 13-2. I think our team is better than average at this point in the season. When we played Penn State it was clear they were better than us, but they didn't run us off the field. Psu starters were still in the game in the 4th quarter. There is still more than half the season left so we will see how it pans out. The biggest concern at the moment is the injury situation. Can we replace Lathan. How long will Burks be sidelined. These are the kind of things that can torpedo the season. If this team can develop a more effective passing game and limit or plug in holes created by injury, I think we can become a solid top 25 team by seasons end. At the moment I would put this team somewhere between 20-35th. which is not elite but it's also not the 14th best in the Big 12. It's also not the dumpster fire the national media said it was going to be.Easy answer. They’ve been lucky and the opponents outside of PSU have been terrible. Even the Georgias, Alabama's and Ohio States of the world need luck at some time in the season. Who knows what would have happened had it not rained against Tech. If you want to win a championship, you have to show the ability to adjust to the elements. I'm sure Tech losing their starting qb didn't help their cause, but they couldn't prevent our front 7 from eating him for breakfast. We Will have to see how the season plays out from here, but I like the toughness that's been shown to this point. Never saw that from some of the pu$$y air raid teams we had over the last decade.Definitely have a good defense. We definitely have the right quarterback this year. The fact that Greene had to sit behind the two losers before him says a lot about Brown. But there's definitely some luck involved in this. Would we have beat Texas Tech if it wasn't pouring the rain most of the game? If their starting qb didn't get hurt? Once it dried out they started moving the ball really easily. They just ran out of time. Just sayin...
I see most or all fans giving wvu credit for the wins. Maybe not as much brown as the other guys. But I have yet to actually see someone say they want wvu to lose because they don't like brown. I believe that to be a Homer fantasy and not actually true. I've seen people call certain fans out and accuse them of that but I have not seen anybody actually say they want the team to lose. You can want the team to win and not have faith in the coach long-term at the same timeWVU is never given credit for wins even by their own fans. I'm not a huge fan of Brown either but those that really hate Neal Brown that doesn't change the fact WVU is 4-1.
Give him and the team the credit earned for these victories.
If people want to blame Brown for all that goes wrong, then he needs to get credit for all that goes right. If you like the play of defense, he is the one that molded that defense.I see most or all fans giving wvu credit for the wins. Maybe not as much brown as the other guys. Yeah I mean give him all the credit you want. He's a decent coach. From what I can tell he's average. His offense has been the biggest struggle with the team this year but I do give him credit for showing signs of improvement on some of the in-game decisions. But I still don't think he's the guy for WVU and I think everyone will eventually see it. I'm definitely guilty of wanting better for WVU. Its true and i proudly own it. I believe this school and state deserves the best and Neal ain't it.If people want to blame Brown for all that goes wrong, then he needs to get credit for all that goes right. He may end up not being the guy but that hasn't been determined yet. Neal Browns teams at Troy were never flashy. He has always been a pound and ground type coach. He always relied on a stout defense and ball control offense. That requires having a ton of depth on the O line and D line. That wasn't the situation he walked into in 2019. It also takes time for a school like Wvu to develop that kind of depth. The depth on the o Line and D line is the best it's been in 10 years. Let's see how the rest of the season plays out before any conclusions are made.Yeah I mean give him all tue credit you want. He's a decent coach. From what I can tell he's average. When you win against a bad schedule you are lucky. When you lose against good schedule it is an excuse. That it sports fandom 2023.So being lucky doesn't count?
TCU was lucky all the way to their National Title game embarrassment. Texas Tech is better than their record indicates. Any team left on this schedule can beat you.
I have no problem with proving me wrong and I hope he does. And I like what's going on this season. Being four and one is very nice. And honestly I like the gritty nature of our team. I like that we're forcing these teams in to ourHe may end up not being the guy but that hasn't been determined yet. Neal Browns teams at Troy were never flashy.
