How bout those Mountaineers

An underrated key to winning the game was the consecutive spectacular catches by the Mountaineer OF defense in the 6th with multiple runners on that kept it tied 2-2 instead of putting TT 2 or 3 runs ahead.

Another set of plays - in the 8th, Smith gives up three walks wrapped around a double for 1 run and the bases loaded with only 1 out- then leaves the bases loaded. In the 9th, he strikes out the side.

If someone had told me that WVU would be competing for a Big 12 baseball title inside of five years of joining the league, I'd have told the nearest cop, "Keep a close eye on that one."

In the words of the late great Don Knotts, "This is big, Andy! I tell ya, big !"

Let's go Mountaineers!

No kidding, I thought I might need a defibrillator to get through that 8th inning. Heck...the whole 6th, 7th, and 8th.

Not going to pretend to know what I'm talking about, happy for the team, hope they end the drought
