a few of us have talked about it. it's actually hard to miss.

huggs said today...

it's become about "me, and not us" with some of these guys. these guys have to quit worrying about making "money" and focus on "what they can do...rebounding... you can make a lot of money rebounding"

Well, there's one player in particular that needs to dominate in the low post......and until he does that again, we won't win consistently.

no doubt he is talking about devin.

he also said, in his way, that some guys are not playing hard trying to stay on the court - no doubt he is talking about carter and dax there.

Williams should not be allowed to take a shot unless he got the rebound or has a clear 15 foot jumper. He forces A LOT of crap up.

not much to say that hasn't been already. Devin is a good and sometimes great player. Lately, he's been forcing things & I believe he was better last year with a true PG star in Staten who could penetrate at will & make positive things happen. last year Devin would hit elbow jumpers and baseline jumpers and then could bully you inside too. he had a tremendous feel for the game & let the game come to him.

he's frustrated right now & he needs to get coached up as to how to deal with fouls & when things aren't going your way, and inversely show some maturity and leadership on his own. if going to the same well over and over is only working a little bit, you've got to adapt.

I believe Huggins will figure this out & we're still in a good spot. we went 1-1 this week. every year there are worries over chemistry, selfishness, scheduling, the team tiring, and whatever ills that are bothersome. more often than not, we rise above it.

last year we went all the way to mid February with an okay resume & several blowout losses, and in dire need of a signature win vs Kansas. we got it, and several others afterward.
