Sorry to bother you, but have you guys heard anything on the Mountaineer Field turf bid award? I know the project won't actually start construction for another 6+ months and I normally can check on this stuff myself through the university websites or a simple Google search and post it here, but the bids were in five weeks ago and from going off of their previous schedules of providing notice of intent to award on these projects, they would've selected a winner by now. The WVU financial/procurement site had a bid notification post displayed since the bids were in on April 29th that was set to automatically expire May 26th, the day after Memorial Day, but they never updated the "Awarded Vendor/Amount" before it disappeared from the site. Not sure if it got lost in the shuffle and didn't get updated with WVU not operating at full capacity between the end of the school year, holiday and first summer session or what.
FieldTurf and AstroTurf came in virtually neck and neck on their bids at just over $1.57 million for their portion of the work with FieldTurf coming in a few hundred bucks lower, but there was an issue with FieldTurf verifying previous addendums to the proposal that some experienced members here on the board said could be grounds for disqualifying them, leaving AstroTurf as the winner by default.
After that long-winded explanation, I just want to know two things:
Any way you can dig up any scoop on this? I guess anyone could file a FOIA request, but I'm not gonna do that for something like this since it's more just curiosity than anything. I certainly don't expect you to get back to me immediately on this. We'll find out eventually. Thanks for any help you might be able to give.

After that long-winded explanation, I just want to know two things:
- Who did WVU select? AstroTurf or FieldTurf?
- What specific turf product will they be going with(FieldTurf Vertex Prime, AstroTurf 3D Decade, etc.)? I think the department had specified a blended slit film/monofilament product which leaves a handful of options.
