Michigan 41 WMU 27......OSU 38 minnesota 14.... WVU 27 Umd 21......if navy can throw it effectively they win 31-28..if not marshla 28 navy 20......i haven't looked at the official spreads

Sign me up for 38-14, but I'd be pleasantly surprised, if Ohio State were able to win that decisively in Week #1.

Just speaking for myself, I don't care who wins or loses other than WVU. I'm just glad to get the season started. You can bet that I will spend this Saturday in front of the TV flipping between channels and soaking it all in.

You make no sense as usual, old fart. If you only care about WVU, then why will you be changing the channel on Saturday afternoon?

Apparently your reading comprehension skills are lacking. What I said was that the only team I care about winning or losing is WVU but when commercials are on I will flip the TV over and check out other games. If you can't understand that maybe you can get someone with better reading skills than you have to explain it to you. Dumbass.

There is no point in watching a game if you don't care who wins or loses, dipsh!t. You might as well kiss your sister/wife or buy a participation trophy at a Gilmer County hardware store, if there is such a thing in that podunk county.

I watch college football at every chance I get, regardless of which teams are playing. I'm not a betting man so other than WVU I really don't care who wins or loses. It entertains me. Too bad your brain is so weak that you can't wrap your head around that concept. I'm glad that I am not as shallow minded as you seem to be.

Your life must be incredibly boring, so I understand as to why you dream about returning to Gilmer bumfvck County.

Where in this thread did I mention Gilmer County? I didn't, but you seem to be obsessed with where I grew up.........and you want to say MY life is incredibly boring. LOL. Look in the mirror dumbass.

You've mentioned wanting to return to Gilmer County before, Gomer. This makes sense now. You'd never catch me watching two college football teams that I don't care about, but to each his own.

So I guess you can only watch Ahia State? Like you say to each his own, but I enjoy Saturdays watching games from all over the country. Too bad your scope is so limited. There are a lot of good games on every Saturday but with your narrow mindset you will never know.

I'll watch Ohio State live, and record WVU's game in case y'all lose. Other than that, I won't watch a college football game between now and Saturday. I usually watch my favorite teams in the three major sports, and WVU's losses, but that's it.

What the hell kind of a statement is that? Navy hasn't thrown it effectively since Roger Staubach played in the early 1960s. I'm sure you remember watching some of the games.
read very slowly so you can understand...If navy can throw then marshla can't stack against the option and navy will grind them down. If marshla doesn't let them pass then the herd's more athletic defense will prevail....now that wasn't too hard was it?

Read this post very slowly, imbecile.

NAVY ranks annually amongst the worst passing offenses in D1 FBS football, each and every year. Typically, they average under 100 yards per game passing the football, which ranks them 127th, 128th, 129th, or 130rd each and every year. Army, Air Force, and Georgia Southern play similar styles, which is the triple option.

As with all games against the service academies, it comes down to whether you can stop the triple option. If you cannot, then you're going to likely lose, or be in a dog fight from start to finish. (see WVU vs Army last year)

Of course, since I'm running my mouth, Navy will probably pass for 350 yards on Saturday, but I'll pivot to something I like discussing more. WVU losing or Harbaugh needing to be fired.

It's 2021 moron. Who "records" games? Spend 25 bucks on a firestick poor Hardie

Navy doesn't throw much but when they do its usually a deep ball that catches your secondary looking into the backfield trying to stop the option. They also love the HB option pass and the throw back to the QB. Not a fun bunch to open the season with on the road! BTW, I'm going play the Broncos + 17.

Navy throws it a a lot more now than they did a couple years ago.

you made my point...they usually don't pass well so if they can Saturday I think they win...thank you for finding the statistics....and I think WV squeaks by Saturday and I think any less than 9 wins and Harbaugh probably bites the dust.....unless 2 of those wins are ahia state and michigan state

A couple of years ago they had an exceptional QB...glad we don't have to face him, he's thankfully probably on air craft carrier now! I suspect they were forced to pass more last season because they were behind in games so often, hoping they are behind 49-0 at halftime on Saturday!

They passed more because they had a QB who was more adept to passing. They play to their abilities. That is what I love about the military academies. Talent wise they are behind almost everyone but effort and efficiency wise they beat people and stay close to much better teams

It's much simpler for me to just record it on my DVR, but I'm glad that this concerns you. Your menial job probably doesn't pay you enough for you to be able to afford to pay anything more than $25 for a firestick, so I get it. I hope you lean too far out of the back of the pick-up truck as you're reaching for an orange cone and fall out like Chris Henry did. Perhaps, it would knock some sense it to you, and you'd stop hallucinating about Marshall fans being around every corner...on your roof...in your basement...and under your bed.

I saw them twice last year and they changed QB's almost every other series , I suspect the Coach wasn't happy with either of them. But that was last year...new season on Saturday and as you stated no quit in those boys!

It's a damn good thing that Kneel Brown benched scrub Doege, or y'all would have lost to Army in the Nobody Cares Bowl last season.

He missed wide open guys all day...hope he improved or Saturday afternoon in College Park may not be pleasant.

The local talking heads, who have predicted a 9-3 season in 2021, keep raving about how good Doege has looked in fall camp. We'll see whether he's improved his pocket presence and deep ball accuracy, as he's been mostly a dink and dunk passer, which he's been good at admittedly.

I have to believe that Maryland's secondary is more athletic than the Black Knights of the Hudson's and receivers won't be wide open...I guess we'll see if the boy has improved. Terp's aren't world beaters so a WVU loss would be devastating.

They got beat up on opening night at BYU last year and never recovered.

Who predicted 9-3 specifically?

....don't think the 2021 edition of the Herd will present the same test that the 2020 edition of BYU did for the Middies. BYU scored on virtually every possession don't think we will but I know you'll be rooting for us to! hahahahaha

Both "Coach" Greg Hunter and Travis Jones. "The Senator" Brad "Johnny Mountaineer" Howe predicted an 8-4 season. Las Vegas casinos' over/under for WVU's regular season win total is 6.5.

If they want to cross 6.5...better win Saturday!

No worries, according to the WVU fan boys masquerading as journalists. Oklahoma and Iowa State are gonna kick some old gold and blue booty, so WVU will have to win all but one of its other games to finish at 9-3.

They're a couple of the faces of WVU sports media, but because they're shameless homers, you can't believe anything that they say about WVU. They do provide some entertainment, though, and that's they're job. When Brad Howe started, he had some potential to be somewhat unbiased, but some WVU fans must have gotten a hold of him quickly, and turned him into "Johnny Mountaineer," as he has referred to himself. Howe's gambling podcast is pretty good, as he has a former Caesar's bookmaker as a regular guest host, and that guy knows what he's talking about.

I listened to them one time when I was on my way to my farm......not impressed

I started listening to 580 AM at work when I moved to W. Va. more than three decades ago, so I have heard all of them for many years. As a WVU fan, I'm surprised that you don't like them. I've listened to 97.1 "the Fan" in Columbus via computer for several years now, but still listen to some of the WV MetroNews podcasts, as well as other podcasts about my favorite professional teams.

dogpeckergnat, you ain't BS'ing anyone about not listening to every live broadcast related to WVU as soon as they air. Your posts prove that. You even save them so you can refer to them later. That's sad. Without this message board all you would have in your pathetic life is cuddle time with your little Brutus Buckeye stuffed animal.
