champs and probably the best team in the league again this season....good benchmark of where we are! Saw where the total is 185 1/2.... Vegas expecting a track meet!

Not being carried by Comcast so I won't see it. How long are you locked into that terrible deal with bein sports ?

I don't know Buzz, not sure I'll get to see it in the Louisville area either but if you like scoring it's be one to see!

Holy cow ... that's a helluva O/U ... I take it neither team plays a lick of defense

Well, we certainly don't....MTSU actually won a game in the dance last year and thrashed Vandy in December who turned around and played UK to the wire on Tuesday. I have to believe that our lack of defense will make this a tough road game to win. But we can flat out shoot the ball and I guess that gives us a puncher's chance! How about MU 108 MTSU 107, hahahahahahah

I can't imagine how bad it must suck to be so psyched up about playing Middle Tennessee.....

What was the final of this offensive explosion? Couldn't find it on TV, and didn't interweb it.

BEIN announcers kept claiming Marshall's offense was "prolific"....

I guess 57 points is "prolific" in CUS1AA....and Camel Toe TV (channel 620 on DirecTV) is "big time" for CUS1AA fans.

Anyway, Marshall and its prolific offense was shut down tonight. You didn't miss anything.

I wasn't surprised we lost...but was a bit surprised to the low score in the game! I didn't see the tilt so don't know what happened but bottom line as loss is a loss.

Not the best shooting night for the Herd. A little sloppy at times....Lack of an "inside guy" hurt as well.

Road games haven't been nice, so far this year. Clearly though, Marshall is building a nice program. A big or two will be a huge help.

Not usual for us the lose the battle on the glass...we have to hit shots or we'll struggle to beat about anyone.

Thanks to beIN not being carried on major cable networks I haven't seen the Herd play this year, but based on what I've read here and elsewhere it sounds like it's all about the three point shot. I loved watching John Beileins teams when he was here, but one thing those teams proved is when you live by the three, you die by the three. I'm just guessing here but I'd say that was Marshall's problem last night.

There was a time that I'd watch the Herd provided that their game didn't conflict with a WVU game. Those days are gone since Marshall games are no longer available through normal outlets. If that's the case for the rest of the state I can see interest in Marshall sports quickly falling by the wayside. No one wants to watch football or basketball on a face book live feed.

I watched about 10 minutes of actual game action, and then it was bed time for my old ass. MTSU played a 1-3-1 defense on them to begin with, and kept changing up their defense. That took MU our of their normal flow. Granted, this was the only time I had seen them play, but it appeared they were disoriented by the MTSU defense. I'm not sure if other teams have defended the Herd this way, but if not, they should watch the game film. Of course, not everybody has the bodies to effectively use the 1-3-1 defense, but JB used to implement it, and that would often cause havoc. Unfortunately, he doesn't have the bodies to use it at UM this year, and it shows.

Marshall's normal flow....

The atmosphere was playing Hell with 1240 WBES last night. They carry the Marshall games in the Charleston area. It normally has a decent nighttime signal for a one lung AM'er, but last night it was watery, fading, and fluttery. The sun is going to do what the sun wants to do, broadcasters and listeners have to live with it.

The few minutes I listened to reminded me of WVU-Temple A-10 Championship game in the late 80's in the Palestra, lots of running up and down the floor but the ball wouldn't go in the basket for either team. When the gave the score and time then announced it was in the second half, I was more than surprised. I think Marshall was down twelve then and MTSU was stuck in the mid-40's? Just one of those nights all around.
