I could be wrong, but I believe someone on this board thought he was good; even better than Howard. Bawhahahahahaha

[/QUOTE ]Not sure about your sources...haven't seen anything about Birdsong being benched although he didn't cover himself in glory against OU! His performance was Howardesque to say the least but he's not going to lose his job!
Couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.....

Boys, I ain't here to rain on your " Howard for All American" campaign but the truth is you boys have played nobody and haven't felt the chill of the road yet. You still won't after you blast poor Maryland although I doubt Howard will put up BGSU type numbers even playing at home! Oklahoma, TCU and BU can play but not sure who's left on the slate that can get out of their own way! Texas is a total dumpster fire, OSU might be better but who knows! But don't let the turth get in the way of a good story....Howard for Heisman, got a certain ring doesn't it! hahahahhahaa
Ain't us touting our QB like he's actually accomplished something of any note!Who have you played? With your patsie schedule Birdsong should be well up on that list.
Cellar dwellar B1G team and the MAC?? Should be stats galore against that ... for anybody worth half a shit anyway.

That is a little hypocritical, coming from you. Meaningless Pee wee titles anyone?Boys, I ain't here to rain on your " Howard for All American" campaign but the truth is you boys have played nobody and haven't felt the chill of the road yet. OMG, the sky is falling! Birdsong will be fine, he struggled in his first road game nothing more, let me know how Howard does on the road!I am defending Howard from your disparaging comments about him all preseason. Howard has played as tough of a schedule as Marshall has (This year....not last. He put up good numbers last year against MUCH tougher competition than Marshall ever faced) and he still has his starting job and is nationally ranked. You said, "We'll be just fine with Birdsong".. Well, it appears, Doc, disagrees. I hear he is relegated to doing the practice uniform laundry to remain on the team. Face it, you guys are in for a looooooooooong season(s).
Maybe you can eat a Boca burger at the end of the year..... MAYBE... However, I think you'll find the, crow, more to your liking.
But, buck up, you always have basketball season to look forward to......

I saw the big victory over PU where Birdsong lead us down the field for a 4th quarter winning drive.....is that the tilt of which you refer? You must not have watched the same Purdue game I did.

If Purdue is so "hapless" then you must have a ton wagered on VPI this Saturday. Hokies can surely lay 5 1/2 to bunch of bottom feeder like the Boilers! That's the one. The one with the interception and the 51.9 QBR, against hapless Purdue.

Doesn't have to be great, just better than a SwanSongYou mean 346 yards and 3 touchdowns against Texas A&M? I let you know. Don't think Birdsong is going to get the opportunity to be "fine" anymore. Even the most ardent Marshall fan wants him under the bench. Not sure who you have in the wings, obviously they thought Birdsong was the better option. Now, we'll see how good the guy who couldn't beat out Birdsong in the spring or summer is. Scary thought actually.
