No secret the difference was OU 27-32 at the foul line vs 13-22 from the visitors. Plus 10 in attempts. Plus 14 in makes for the Sooners.
The tip-in with 2 secs left was the dagger, but the cumulative body blows suffered at foul line were the collective difference that put them in the position for the tip-in in the first place.
I thought one of the other main critical areas was Devin played 15 minutes saddled with foul trouble & was largely ineffective for those 15 mins. OU crashed the glass well with Dev sitting on the bench.
Final area that hurt WV was 16 own turnovers vs 18 they earned via their D. FT disparity, Devin fouls/struggles & turnovers spell trouble on the road vs the best team in America.
Nonetheless, with one bounce of the ball another way, it's a historic victory & week for WV. This is a top 10 team with enormous potential, and one that can line up and compete with anyone. Last week, it was not known or accepted that this was the case. I'm thrilled with 15-2 & tie for 1st place start.
