I have had the pleasure of a passing acquaintance with Casey Legg and I can absolutely confirm that he is exactly the young man that you would want to be the guy picking up your daughter for a date.
Reading the article about Casey also made me think of this.
In addition to his on field performance and his post-game demeanor, you never have to worry about opening the Blue Lot message board and reading that Casey Legg has been arrested, or caused a disturbance within the team, or even that he has transferred.
Like a great number of Mountaineer athletes, he simply performs his assigned duties and accepts his rewards with humility. There are others that come to mind, guys like Zach Frazier, Dante Stills, Garrett Greene, Sean Martin, etc. I’m sure there are many other that I have overlooked or don’t know well enough to include.
We have these guys in basketball as well. They are epitomized by the iconic Jevon Carter. The only point is we should remember and appreciate these greatest of Mountaineers.
