Another game ball for Tony Gibson's defense, and a tip of the cap to special teams for blocking the field goal try.
Skyler had a lot of passing yardage, but his 3 interceptions and 4 or 5 dropped passes are not what we wanted to see from the offense.
I know Foreman got 167 yards, but it was on 35 carries by the #1 rusher in America. Pretty decent job by the defense, which also intercepted a pass.
TWICE, Texas had 1st & 10 on the WVU 11 and had to settle for field goals. That's 8 points saved in a game won by 4.
Defense set up opportunities for the WVU offense with turnovers, but the offense gave it right back to Texas more than once.
WVU defense held on downs at WVU 39 in 4th quarter, but offense couldn't get a 1st down so the defense had to create 3 straight incompletions at the end of the game to save it.
Best of all, WVU is 8-1 and alive for the Big 12 title, alone or as co-champ. Bring on Oklahoma!
