Although what we saw happen last week to some P5 teams could happen to us, if we don't come out and slam the door shut on YSU, as we did Georgia Southern a year ago. But, I expect we should come out on top decently to go 2-0.

However, they think they are playing another sPitt caliber team. Their first mistake? Comparing us to Pitt.

A lot of their banter mentioned that Dana hates FCS schools and they based that on an interview he gave. They have to understand that the B12 and most other conferences are trying to discourage their members from playing FCS schools. Quite frankly, despite the record of a FCS school, playing them does very little to help an FBS school when it comes to being evaluated for a playoff spot. In fact, it often detracts from their consideration for having played a team from a lower Division.

They also think that WVU may be looking past them to the BYU game. I just don't think so.....at least I hope they aren't. The Penguins are fully capable of pulling an upset, but I think its going to be a much harder task than they are building themselves up to accomplish. I think the odds makers were smoking crack when they posted the line for this job. I don't think we will cover the spread on this one, but I feel pretty confident that WVU will win. If Howard doesn't play QB because of his ribs, then all bets are off.....

Articles tend to point towards Howard playing. However, might be a game time decision if he does or not at that point.

They are a delusional but enthusiastic bunch. I'll give them an A- for effort.

Unfortunately, they don't have the weapons to attack the weakest spot on our defense...the CBs and our lack of depth. They run and throw to the TEs, which plays to our strengths. In short, WVU is a bad match up for them.

I hope Howard doesn't have to play much.

1) He needs to be ready for BYU
2) Will Greer is assumed to be cleared for all of next season.

Until I see it on paper, we need to make sure one of these guys is ready. This might be the last chance to get our back ups significant time until the Kansas game.

You have to love the enthusiasm. Why play if you don't think you can win.

The best part of the thread was the first post complaining how much the tickets costs compared to sPitt. Hell he could have bought 4 tickets to the sPitt game for a total of $4.

LOL! He could have brought a busload of people to Pitt and still had enough money for food and drinks for himself.

Didnt they beat Pitt twice?
Dana said they should have beaten Pitt the second time they played. But they didn't.

If we're ready to play we win. If for some stupid reason we aren't ready to play YSU can make it very interesting.

But I can't fault YSUs fans optimism ..... we would be doing the same thing if we were in their shoes.

Well, well, well.... it seems as though their Mod has denied access to their board.

What could they be afraid of?

#1. Setting them straight in the fact that we ARE NOT sPitt and stop trying to compare us to them in how they think they will win.

#2. YSU's defensive talent is nowhere near that of Missouri's. If Missouri didn't shut us down, what says they will? Oh they may give us some fits early on, but our depth is going to cause them problems with theirs. I think Dana should start to gradually run a faster tempo game as the game progresses. Wear them out and put them away like we did with GSU and/or Liberty last year.

#3. Tell them they are looking at the wrong WV sports boards. lol!

YSU returns 14 starters. They are experienced. Can they handle the heat, WVU line and depth? They shouldn't be able to.

I thought the Youngstown fans were acting normally, as we would if the situation were reversed. They were naïve about ticket prices. Pitt drools when any visiting fan wants to pay to get into Ketchup Field. When the Panthers play WVU, Pitt fans are out-numbered by WVU fans, whether the game is in Morgantown or Pittsburgh.

Youngstown is one of the best at their level. Marshall might have trouble beating them. Hopefully, my alma mater won't.

M anhandled Missouri, 26-11

Honestly, there is a decent chance YSU is better than Missouri. We better be ready to play, the top of FCS is no joke.

That's a great move. Wish some WVU boards cared about the programs they make money from instead of just letting in every troll from anywhere in to bash the fans, school, coaches, teams and conference when and how they like. That is damaging and shouldn't be allowed.

If it were N Dakota State, I would be more concerned as I have seen what they have been capable of.

As opposed to South Dakota State, Appy State, and whoever Miss State lost to last week? The top 10 in that division are like top 80 FBS teams, it's been proven for years now. Given its sandwiched between Mizzou and BYU the likelihood we take the game lightly is high

Well, other than the first half? I say we did fine... Just wish we would have gotten at least 41 points. BYU on the other hand, has me QUITE concerned.

I thought we took the game lightly but out talented them in half 2, overall I was satisfied with the performance
