If the goal of the committee was to choose the best four teams, then they achieved their goal. You may not like it, but it is what it is. You can hate (like many of us do) that the same teams are basically the same every year, but until somebody beats Ohio State, Clemson, and Alabama, they're likely going to end up there every year. It's basically down to who the 4th team will be each year. This year, it happens to be Notre Dame. Like them, hate them, it is what it is, and they went 10-1 with a couple of nice wins against the top 15 opponents, including #2. Granted, #2 was without their QB, but a win is a win. G5 should know by now that the door is always going to be closed on them. You would think they would realize this, and simply do their own thing, but they're not going to pass up on those D1 dollars.
