I think paying people increases their return rate. Because you already have the money you feel obligated to do it for them.
And over and above the money I'd feel psyched to actually have some input. You can like or dislike whatever shows you want but it doesn't really matter to the people that put on the shows unless you get counted. This is your big chance to have some say.
