Between us I'd say it's much ado about nothing...but that doesn't preclude a zinger in good fun! What exactly did he test positive for? I have no idea, I know his explanation that it was in some OTC supplement he was taking. Haven't seen any real details, although I haven't really looked either. Just saw the announcement yesterday.
I guess he's looking for a place to play and if the WVU bench can't put pressure on Skylar for playing time they can't be much to beat out! From the kid's perspective, I get it, as even if HOGO must go, the new coach is going to play the best QB which will certainly be him as the other stiffs have proven they can't play!Interesting move by him considering Holgs will most likely be fired at the end of this season.
Interesting!Ligandrol is a selective androgen receptor modulator (SARM) used to treat muscle wasting and osteoporosis. SARMs, as a class, are considered performance-enhancing drugs and banned by the NCAA.
Interesting!

OTC stuff. Looks like he failed to ask his medical staff if it was legal or not. Seems like a tough break and an honest mistake, but a mistake nonetheless
Its something you can buy at GNC. He should have known to check with the training staff. Is that an OTC drug in itself or is it something that would be in something else? Like, he tried a new brand of protein powder and this stuff was added to it? Or, he just went in and picked this directly off the shelf.
Really sucks that anything OTC would get you dinged and a 1 year suspension.
Shoulda just went to a recruiting party at Louisville.
Oh sure ... I fully expect the zingers.
I'm just not sure how I feel about the transfer without knowing the details.
He's what, 6-2 and 175 lbs? Whatever it was, it sure didn't work. I'm 6-3 and would be skin and bones at 175. HGH and triple cheeseburgers are what that young man needs to get into football and pro rasslin' shape.
Randy "The Macho Man" Savage was about Grier's size. Randy was wasting away in minor league baseball until he discovered the magic of steroids. Look how he turned out. Better living through chemistry.
Played in the wind yesterday and shot 85 .....good score for those conditions....I hit it high and had a couple almost come back at me.......my putter finally showed up and saved me........after the wind gets thru with the Masters today this weekend will be real interestingYes he turned out great, dead at 58. You're a dumbass
Sarcasm is lost on you. Is 03 your IQ.?Yes he turned out great, dead at 58. You're a dumbass
I don't think there are any zingers. It's a good deal for WVU. He's a better QB than what you have starting this fall. The problem is he's going to have almost two years of sitting out, he's going to be rusty when the first couple games come around.
I was referring to the details of his infraction, not his playing ability.
My understanding is that they were already appealing the suspension and there's some question as to whether or not the suspension will be concurrent with the transfer waiting period or iimposed after that. It may only be one year for the transfer, or it may be two years.
I agree with Dave in that he should have checked with the staff, but at the same time I could see where you'd just assume that something OTC would be OK.
Bottom line for me is that I don't see it as a character issue.

He's a Jarhead. Three is about the top of the scale for those guys.
I want a QB who has the touch to lay the ball in the receivers hands like an underhand toss, but the arm strength to decapitate DB's and LB's when needed. A guy who hits the receiver in the numbers and the ball sticks there, the impact driving the receiver 20 yards down the field. A QB who's throws remove the hands of defensive linemen foolish enough to try to bat the ball down.
In other words a younger, taller, faster Chuck Norris.
Says the fella who didn't know who Smedley was when he showed up here.
