I will admit, I haven't watched any of these hearings. I have been reading a summary of some of the stuff coming out though. I wonder: if nobody did anything wrong, then why did a few ask for a presidential pardon from Trump following January 6th, as was revealed today?

I'm interested in knowing why they asked for a pardon? For example, if I wasn't speeding, and never was pulled over or got a ticket, why would I ask my friend who is a cop to get me out of a speeding ticket?

I know that commonly happens for every POTUS. But how many Congressmen have asked for pardons? Serious question. I don't know.
