I truly doubt it. The thought of West Virginia University jumping over Duke would be against the b-ball gods wishes. It will be short lived though. WVU will drop after a Texas Tech loss this coming Saturday. (Possibly vs Baylor)

The Buckeyes did WVU a favor by thumping the Nation's No. 1 team, but I would expect Villanova to be No. 1, and WVU No. 2 today.
I already thought our team was over rated at #6. Hopefully they prove me wrong.

Basketball rankings are basically all for fun, bragging rights, talking smack, etc. It's nice to be ranked near the top though, as it provides attention to your program, and can help draw in top recruits as well.
With that said, it all comes down to the 64 team tournament in March, and who you happen to match up with. Lots of things, both positive and negative can happen between now and tournament time.
