Good article. Agree completely.

Lyons got worked over by DH in 2016 and looked like a total first timer...it was a botch.

All he did was refuse to extend a coach who was already gone.

The wv press has never liked DH. You will see a long line of drive by style articles and gutter sniping against DH in the coming weeks, and no doubt will they attempt to build Lyons into some hero....despite the fact that it will cost wvu $1 million to fire Gibson, all thanks to Lyons and his ability to "stand his ground".

I wish Lyons would deal with our coach the same way , Nardummy, that was a great few days for Lyons and WVU.

Disagree, had WVU gave an extension and a small raise , same number Houston gave Dana, he would have never left.

They did offer a raise, just not the raise DH wanted.

Lyons is lucky. If NC St doesnt get cancelled and Grier & Co. doesnt sit for CUSE, Lyons would have gotten rolled again.....instead DH left for a new job.

Also, what circus act did Dana perform?

There hasnt been a word out of him. There was zero publjc knowledge about Houston until the season and bowl game was totally done.

So what circus act happened that I missed?

He handled the separation professionally.

It was time to part ways. That's all. It was and should be an amicable separation on the part of the two parties. But what kind of story would that be for some and especially the fake news.
