If I'm not mistaken (and I could be), I believe the Captain is said to be heard screaming in the background as part of the cockpit's voice recording. I'm also getting the impression that if someone occupying the cockpit purposely wants to keep everyone out, the onboard security system and door armoring is designed to do just that.Originally posted by mneilmont:
The pilot done it. How did they make the distinction? Is there a control that would tell us which seat was empty?
Obviously the cockpit door will open automatically after 5 minutes unless someone sitting in a cockpit seat presses a button to override the auto feature to open the door. Hard to fathom that someone could lock the controls into decent and sit there nine minutes with people kicking and pounding on the door.
