OKLAHOMA CITY – West Virginia stayed hot in the first round of the 2016 Phillips 66 Big 12 Baseball championships with a 6-0 shutout victory over Oklahoma Wednesday morning.
The Mountaineers, now winners of 15 of their last 18 games, relied on a gutsy performance from Ross Vance who picked up his team-leading seventh win of the season after entering the game for Michael Grove midway through the first. Grove exited the game with an injury.
