Dear Bob:
Sorry I didn't see you at the Coliseum yesterday, but believe me, I understand persona non grata (someone in Ann Arbor told me what that meant and someone else in Arizona re-emphasized it)! But, don't despair buddy I've talked to the Mountaineer Mafia and we can get you back. It'll take time and unfortunately it looks like this DeVries character might have some magic. The Presidency is opening up, but it looks like A. James Manchin or whatever his name is has the inside track although Ollie has been hanging around so he might be a possibility. I have a strong hunch that the AD job may open up after recent events, but if not I'll do a little jabbing and talk to the boys.
Our new war chant is going to be "Hold the rope-for seventeen years". I wouldn't dare use "Play like your hair is on fire"- paid waaay too much for these locks!
Anyway, hang in there for a bit, oh I do plan to win and win big, but just in case, could you send me that list of reasons why WVU struggles in the Big XII that you, Dana and Neal put together when you get a chance. Always be prepared, am I right?
Maybe we'll see each other at The Little General or we can meet for breakfast at Tudor's, I've got a great new volumizer I'd like you to try.
Regards,
Your buddy Rich
