It doesn't necessarily even have to apply to WVU players. But one of the frequent botches that makes my eye twitch is the spelling of Owen Schmitt's name as SchmiDt.
It boggles my mind even more because of all the "Schmitt Happens" shirts and signs during his tenure here, and the fact that he had a bar called Schmitt's Saloon. How do you mess that up?
