We have a 4 star PG and a 4 star PF who can't even sniff the floor.......

Macon is useless at this point. We have 6 reliable players:

Carter
Miles
Ahmad
Adrian
Watkins
Phillip

West doesn't know where to be on defense
Myers can't hang with B12 talent on either side of the floor
Konate can't guard outside of the post

This time last season, we were debating which lineup was actually better - our starters or our 2nd unit.....

This year?

We are a fringe top 25 team this season...... I've said that since this summer. Is that a problem? No. We are young and inexperienced in areas of need. Will we be fine come March? I believe so........... but this team is not close to last season's

Keatons Corner is a gigantic Douche Bag and he is always wrong! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Bump!

I stand by this. We just blew a 15 point lead to a .500 team in a rebuilding year

This is the 2nd .500 team we have lost to this season including 10-10 Temple

No you're not.

Macon is playing well now

Esa has been anything but reliable

Myers should be getting more minutes

I said Macon was useless at that point, which was a month ago when I authored that post

I was right.

I am right

Myers scores two buckets in the first half and starts barking at Woodard

Gets benched for no defense and Woodard wins the game

"Will we be fine come March? I believe so..........."

Literally in the first post

You dog Myers way too much, just because you want affirmation for a month old post. That's lame.

Esa and Dax killed us tonight. mostly esa. Both have had a rough stretch since UT. It happens.

Never was much of a believer in the star rating system. But do agree that somehow this team's talent and expectations were over estimated by many. I think a top 20 finish for this team is a realistic possibility. They play hard and are a pleasure to watch (exception foul shooting). Half court offense struggles at times when not getting expected turnovers.

Just curious, what parts of his post do you disagree with? Seems pretty accurate to me.

Dax had 8 points on 50% shooting and 75% from the line................. the only thing he did wrong was not get set up with enough shot attempts (4).

You don't know what you are talking about.................. meanwhile Myers makes two buckets and nearly picks up a T for taunting Woodard........ who then goes on to decimate Carter and Phillip in the 2nd half..... while Myers is benched for zero defense as well.

OK was 31-55 from 2pt range last night..... their bigs (Lattin, Doolittle, McNease) combined for 14-20 from the field............. but it's Dax who let us down, huh?

Fact is, someone's troll account (who "follows" my account on here, creepy) tried and failed to throw some egg on my face, and right on cue, my post proves to be correct yet again...

Macon makes me cringe every time he touches the ball. You never know if he will make a stupi pass or dribble the ball off his foot. Last night he did good. Next game will he be there?

Like I said, it was mostly Esa. Dax has not been shooting well enough. He does make layups. Teyvon is the best passer on the team and plays much better defense than you say. You are guessing as to why he was benched.

"Dax is not shooting well enough"

Season stats:

10.2 points a game

FG% - 50%

2pt FG% - 59%

3pt FG% - 39%

Only 3 games out of the 15 he has played has he shot worse that 40% from the field. Only three games where he has shot worse than 33% from deep too....

So please...... tell us again how Daxter Miles isn't shooting well

No. Daxter Miles isn't shooting ENOUGH

15-3 with 3 losses for a combined total of 7 points is impressive, even against Little Sisters of the Poor.

I do think this team can go either way. If they play the way they did against Baylor, then Big 12 tournament title and March Madness trophy for Huggins to put on a bus and tour the state are possible.

If they play the way they did against Texas and Oklahoma, it will be as disappointing as Geno, Tavon and Stedman going 5-0 and then splatting to 7-6.

I suspect Huggins is working on a solution. It may not be pretty in practice, though.

If Kansas gets the Baylor treatment, we'll all be on cloud 9 again.

Let's see what happens. I'm hoping for a trip to The Promised Land before I die for my alma mater.

I think the best way to find a solution is to break the players physically and mentally in practice. Then, on national TV, break them emotionally through humiliation that no one on this board would tolerate if directed at them.

Have them come out at the half and do wind sprints until second half starts.

This team has the potential to be better than last year's. Personally I think they are already there.

More Athletic
Better offensively
Deeper
More leaders

And I would bet the farm they don't flame out in the first round of the Tournament. Not this team.
