That and a free soft drink if you stay til the end of the game should be big for them. With promotions like that they may be able to get 20,000 actual butts in seats, provided they let the homeless people know about it.

More PITTiful updates..........It's long been discussed on Pitt forums about whether they should close the upper decks of Heinz and cover the empty seats with tarps. Most Pitt fans seem to be in favor of that idea so as to make it look there is a bigger crowd turning out for Pitt home games. You may have to read a few paragraphs in the following link to get to what I'm talking about.

At least our little brothers in Huntington haven't resorted to that............but then again they don't have an upper deck. The saving Grace for them is that their games aren't televised so no one sees the empty seats on their game day.

Don't know much about Pitt's attendance or efforts to improve in that area....but I know they'd better not let Tech establish the fullback dive or they are toast! But that is easier said than done.
