I've been operating under the assumption that, without question, GG gives us the best chance to win week in and week out.
I've also been operating under the assumption that, most likely, NM has a higher ceiling. BUT, is that true?
GG did not do well at all against Penn State. NM didn't exactly light things up throwing the interception. However, if GG lays eggs moving forward, should we give NM the reps he needs? Is it plausible to assume that after taking our lumps in the short term, in time, we most likely would have a better QB?
Note: I'm not calling for NM over GG. Only if GG doesn't do well moving forward would I consider this. I think GG will bounce back strong this next game, but he has to do that in the "big" ones that follow. If not, do we have what I think we have in a backup or, was NM just a very good high school player who didn't make the leap to college and we ride GG until next year regardless?
