Football to Hold Open Practice at Shepherd University[/B]
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - (March 27, 2015) - The West Virginia University football team will hold its first off-campus open practice this spring at Ram Stadium in Shepherdstown, W.Va., on Saturday, April 4, starting at 1 p.m.
The practice will be open to the public and is free of charge.
"We're taking things to two different places in the state," WVU head coach Dana Holgorsen said. "The first one is in Shepherdstown. Shepherd University is gracious enough to let us use their facilities, and we'll let the guys see the Eastern Panhandle."
Following the 1 p.m., practice, the WVU 1100 Club will be holding an event at Cress Creek from 3:30 - 6 p.m. The event is open to current 1100 Club members and one guest. For more information contact the Mountaineer Athletic Club at 1-800-433-2072.
The Mountaineers are holding an open practice for its annual coaches' clinic weekend in Morgantown on Saturday, April 11, and will have its second off-campus practice at the AdvoCare Sports Performance Center at The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va., on Saturday, April 18.
Details for the other practices will be released at a later date.
West Virginia will conclude spring practice with the annual Gold-Blue Game on Saturday, April 25, at 1 p.m. Tickets are $10 and are available for purchase at the Coliseum ticket office, online at WVUGAME.com or by calling 1-800-WVU GAME. WVU students will be admitted free with a valid ID.
