You don't foresee a huge shift in the numbers, once you take away TCUs inflated numbers (due to a pair of CFP games), and bigger than that, games with Texas and Oklahoma that drive up the other Big XII individual team ratings?

Besides, CFE is the one that's supposed to be providing the numbers.

The remaining BIG 12 schools drove up OU and UTs ratings. It wasn't a one way street.

There will always be a school or school out front in the BIG 12 ratings, compare i.e. Clemsons ratings to TCUs, Even if you drop a TCUs numbers by half-and no reason that would happen, they'll be in the same ballpark.

There are going to be more than one BIG 12 school in lots of playoffs in an expanded field which will keep ratings high as well.

BIG 12 schools aren't going to just play BIG 12 schools, so there will be major non conference opponents as well as highly ranked IN conference opponents to take the place of the games against OU and UT in the ratings.

Plus the current independent and AAC numbers will likely rise dramatically as their level of play and overall opponent quality increases dramatically with a BIG 12 schedule.

When you compare the numbers you see that the top 10 of 12 new or existing BIG 12 schools rated higher than 9 of the 14 ACC schools Or put another way, better than all but 5 ACC schools.

The TV dollars given to the BIG 12 reflect that the networks don't see a major drop off--the contracts keep going up from where they are in 2025 under the current contract(s).

You really don't believe that, do you?
Its a fact, OU and UT didn't play themselves, a huge portion of their ratings came from playing the 8 other schools and you can look it up yourself--anyone can. Take away those 8 games and OUs and UTs ratings drop dramatically. Fans from both schools playing contribute to ratings.

Oklahoma and Texas did play one another. It's called the Red River Shootout, and historically, is the highest rated Big XII game each year (outside of the conference championship game).

You really don't believe what you're spewing, do you?

You really don't believe Texas has a huge fanbase, and said fanbase watching their team play on TV doesn't impact the ratings, regardless of who they're playing?

Do you know what the ratings were for the Alabama-Texas game this past year?

Allow CFE to continue to be the numbers guy.

Nearly 10.6 million viewers tuned in for Texas Football's game against the Alabama Crimson Tide at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium on Saturday, the most-watched college football game of the 2022 season FOX Sports announced.

The broadcast averaged 10,595,000 viewers on FOX, peaking at over 15.1 million viewers, and is the fourth-most watch regular season college football matchup in the network's history. Additionally, the game was the most streamed regular season college football or NFL game in FOX history.

Ranking the most-watched college football programs in 2021
  • Ohio State — 5.22M.
  • Michigan — 4.74M.
  • Alabama — 4.64M.
  • Penn State — 3.87M.
  • Georgia — 3.61M.
  • Oklahoma — 3.46M.
  • Auburn — 3.22M.
  • Michigan State — 2.89M.

Eight Remaining Big 12 Football Teams Saw Nearly 50% Increase in TV Ratings.

Brett Yormark could not have asked for a better on-field product than what he got. Had the Sooners and Longhorns steamrolled their way to a Big 12 Championship meeting, the storylines would’ve been about how the Big 12 would be a Group of 5 conference after the two blue-bloods left. That was always going to be a silly argument, but some in national media would have tried to make it to fit a narrative.

But now, that narrative is definitely dead. And the future of the Big 12 better off for it.

The Big 12’s new media rights deal, beginning in 2025, will guarantee league future 12 schools an all-in average figure of at least $48 million, according to Dodd, which is about $5 million more than conference members are presently earning with Texas and Oklahoma.

With OU and Texas having bad years in W/L records it without a doubt served a good purpose for remainder of Big 12 teams. Big question is does it continue after Texas and OU are gone?

Do you think it’s news that Texas and OU played each other? They also played the 8 other members of the conference. All of those matchups drew millions of viewers from BOTH parties.

The other BIG 12 schools also have large fanbases and have rated better than some schools in every conference. Do you actually believe your own nonsense? Do you think when Ohio State or Michigan, or Alabama, LSU whomever, play another school, the ONLY people watching come from the fanbase of Ohio State, Michigan, Alabama, etc? It’s a two way street.

In 2021 for example 0k State/OU drew 6.486 million viewers compared to OU/ Texas which drew 5.940 million.

Stay off the board with your anti BIG 12 nonsense propaganda.

This information is bogus.

Lowly West Virginia and the dumbest head coach of all recorded history rated almost twice as high compared to that god like coach Lord Danna Holgersen and the Holgersen University Cougars?

BOGUS.

Look at Ohio State's TV ratings. Population matters, particularly when 80% or more of a given population favors a specific state school.

Now, let's compare a hypothetical Texas vs West Virginia football game. Texas has a population of 20,000,000 plus, and West Virginia has a population of what, around 1,600,000? Which school do you believe makes up the large portion of the overall TV rating? Are you suggesting the TV rating will be the similar when Texas Tech plays West Virginia in 2025?

The information is fact. You can’t dispute it. So you breakdown into infantile declarations of nonsense and lash out with ignorance. Typical narcissist psychopathic troll misbehavior. Facts are facts. I know your ilk doesn’t like those, they are still facts.
