Coaches - #17 WVU with losses to #3 Oklahoma, #11 Oklahoma State, and #23 Miami

Marshall, in spite of also receiving votes from Doc in the pre-season coaches poll is nowhere to be found in either final poll.

Herd fans can take some comfort in knowing that of the nine teams that beat them this year Louisville finished 20th in the Coaches Poll and Western Kentucky was listed as also receiving votes but the coaches showed no love for Pitt........Louisville finished at #21 in the AP Poll and WKU and Pitt also received some votes, probably from some Pittsburgh sportswriters.

I loved all the smack they talked about their preseason vote. They played real teams this year and were shown their place in the college football world. Really is sad.
