-West Virginia ran the tempo period before the media left and the first team units looked like this. QB: Skyler Howard, RB Rushel Shell, WR: Z Ka’Raun White, IR Jovon Durante, IR Daikiel Shorts and X Shelton Gibson, OL: LT Yodny Cajuste, LG Adam Pankey, C Tyler Orlosky, RG Kyle Bosch and RT Marcell Lazard. The defense consisted of DE Noble Nwachukwu, NG Darrien Howard, DE Christian Brown, SAM Justin Arndt, MIKE Al-Rasheed Benton, WILL Sean Walters, SPUR Kyzir White, BS Jarrod Harper, FS Dravon Henry, CB Rasul Douglas, CB Nana Kyeremeh.
-The second team units consisted of: QB: William Crest, RB Justin Crawford/Kennedy Mckoy, WR: Devonte Mathis, Steven Smothers, Ricky Rogers, C Jah’Shaun Seider, RG Grant Lingafelter, RT Josh Sills, LG Matt Jones and LT Colton McKivitz. The defense was DE Jon Lewis, NG Alec Shriner, DE Adam Shuler, SAM Xavier Preston, MIKE Hodari Christian, WILL David Long, SPUR Tonkery, BS Jeremy Tyler, FS Khairi Shariff, CB Mike Daniels, CB Maurice Fleming. The second teams had a lot of rotating in and out.
-The tempo drill wasn’t really a live situation but it was nice to see some of the units going against one another. It's almost like football is back.
-With the first team unit Howard made some nice throws including one out of the backfield to Rushel Shell as Kyzir White tracked him down on the sideline. Howard then thread a ball into Ka’Raun White who had beaten the cornerback. Shell then took a handoff and ripped off a nice chunk of yards. It was only a snapshot but it appeared clear the offense has the leg up.
-The quarterbacks once again moved into the indoor facility for some of the period open to media but came back onto the practice field at the tail end in order to throw into the net before the start of the tempo period. All of the quarterbacks threw the ball well today. From looking at Will Grier it’s easy to see why he is so highly regarded and he throws a very good football.
-A lot of the work was once again dedicated to special teams with kicking and punting. Field goals as well as punt return units got a lot of work with the same returners as the other day.
-As far as injuries today SPUR Marvin Gross was in red and riding the exercise bike as well as junior college defensive end Brandon Lawless.
-Saw Xavier Pegues walking around the field. He obviously isn't close to contributing but it was good to see him around the facilities.
-Early into the practice Marcus Simms got into an altercation that was broken up by Shelton Gibson and was removed from practice. However, he did come back on the field and participated in all the normal drills.
