Back in the days before freshman were allowed to play for the varsity you heard the term "sophomore jinx" frequently. A hotshot high school kid would come on campus and tear it up as a frosh playing against his peers, but when he became a sophomore he faced the older game tested Jrs and Srs. and many times he struggled to find his place. "Hey, the kid's only a sophomore he's going through the jinx."
Both Carter and Dax played well, at times, these past two seasons, but they are still only sophomores and have a lot development to go through...and time to do it. I think they will both be fine in the long run. Look at our two hot shot guards, both had JUCO experience and even with that it took them a season to adjust.
