We are really excited to announce that WVSports.com will now have our own pre-game radio show prior to all WVU football games. The show will air on WCLG-FM (100.1) and can be heard on your radio, through our site and through various mobile apps.

I think this says a lot about the work that Keenan, Greg, Tony and Marc have done over the last few years with our podcast. That show has improved dramatically and led to us getting this opportunity. We do plan to continue the podcast as well.

A big thanks to long time Blue Lotter Jim Sweezy, he's the WCLG representative that has worked to make this happen. Jim is a great friend of mine and many others here on the site and has always supported this business and I truly appreciate all that he's done.

Below is the official press release and we'll more info coming soon.

Morgantown's Rock Station, 100.1 WCLG, an AJG Corporation station, along with WV Sports Dot Com, the Rivals network affiliate providing complete coverage of West Virginia University athletics and an online community for its fans, announced that they will begin airing a pre-game broadcast every football game day during the 2015-2016 season.

Game Day Kickoff will be a 60-minute program intended to provide WVU fans with everything they need to know about that day's opponent. Unlike other long-form pre-game shows, Game Day Kickoff will focus on a concise program: "Everything you need to know about today's game - delivered in 60 minutes!"

The program will be hosted by WV Sports Dot Com Senior Writer Keenan Cummings and Staff Writer Greg Madia. It will air each day the Mountaineer football team is in action and the program will air the hour immediately preceding kickoff for away games, and begin 3 hours prior to kickoff on home games.

"Our staff could not be more excited about the opportunity to work with WCLG-FM in releasing the new Game Day Kickoff show. It's long been our goal to expand our reach and provide Mountaineer fans even more coverage of West Virginia University athletics. The Game Day Kickoff show will be both fun and informative," said WV Sports Dot Com Publisher Vernon Bailey.

Cummings and Madia have both served as on the ground beat reporters following West Virginia University athletics for the past five seasons regularly attending all media functions as well as working to get the inside information around the programs. In addition, the pair serve as recruiting reporters detailing West Virginia's efforts on the recruiting trail and discussing not only current Mountaineers but those that could be next in line.

That unique perspective from both sides should provide the show not only a look at the upcoming game day matchups but what fans can expect on the recruiting side as well with official visitors or upcoming prospect decisions.

"We've continued to expand our reach and brand in the past few years and this is an exciting opportunity for us to provide our knowledge of the program to fans in a short, concise show," Cummings said.

"This is a great opportunity for us to provide our insight on West Virginia football through a new medium. The sixty-minute spot is perfect for us to condense everything we've reported on during the course of a game week into a must-listen show on game day," said Madia.
