Other than Oklahoma State. But let's look at the record to see the difference between what WVU has accomplished and what Baylor has done to get to midseason.

Using the Sagarin ranking as a yardstick:

26. West Virginia

Mountaineers have beaten:

36. Kansas State

39. BYU

51. Texas Tech

57. Missouri

87. Youngstown

AVERAGE RANKING OF BEATEN OPPONENTS: 54

Still to play:

9. Oklahoma

15. Baylor

27. TCU

31. Oklahoma State

41. Texas

83. Iowa State

128. Kansas

Four teams left to play are ranked higher than Kansas State so the job is a long way from over.

Only Kansas and Iowa State are ranked lower than Texas Tech.

15. Baylor has beaten (11 higher than WVU, based on what?)

202. Northwestern State

111. SMU

143. Rice

31. Oklahoma State

83. Iowa State

128. Kansas

AVERAGE RANKING OF BEATEN OPPONENTS: 116 (62 LOWER THAN WVU’S BEATEN OPPONENTS)

WVU has beaten 4 teams ranked higher than anyone Baylor has defeated, except for Oklahoma State.

Not even close.

Baylor has an open week this week before taking on UT, TCU, OU, KSU, TTU prior to coming to Morgantown. Very tough schedule that could bode well for WVU in the final game of the regular season

From a prior post to another CFE opinion.
Baylor's schedule gets tougher as the season goes on, kind of like our October last season. Baylor might have had a bad OOC schedule, but they may not show up in M'town undefeated. I like our schedule set up.

I agree. I think WVU has a better chance at running the table than Baylor. But we all know that it's almost impossible. So impossible that only 11 teams have done it in 10 years, and some of those teams were named Alabama. That comes out to an average of just over 1 team per season. Even 11-1 is awesome in college football because you are in rare company.

Meanwhile, let's have some Frog Soup on Saturday!
