I still feel OU will win the Big12 this year

I feel that no one would be foolish enough to put their money on any one team to win the Big 12 this season. It's as wide open as it's been since WVU got into the conference.


After 4 weeks, WVU and Baylor are the only undefeated teams, and the Bears have played no one of consequence, so they don't count.

If Oklahoma wins the Big 12, the conference is in trouble. Losing to Houston and Ohio State by a combined margin of THIRTY ONE points would bring the national opinion that EVERY team in the Big 12 is at least 3 touchdowns worse than Ohio State and not even as good as a Little Five school. That would be appalling for Big 12 image.

The best thing that can happen for the Big 12's sake is for WVU to win the conference title as an undefeated team, then win the semifinal game in the Football Final Four. Well, the best would be to win the national title, but at least winning the semifinal would salvage some Big 12 prestige, which is on life support at the moment.
