... according to WVPaper.

Last night against UL, 11 minutes, 1-5 shooting, 1-3 from 3 point, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 turnover, 2 fouls.

I wish the kid the best, but it looks like he's just being used to give the starting guards a break.

He'd probably have the same role here.

I don't think that he could even do that much if here still with WVU. He'd get zero minutes and bench splinters in his butt. A streak shooter/gunner that doesn't defend and who turns the ball over can't play for Huggins.

I read a quote from him where he said he's "getting use to his role" as a role player. HAHA. To me, that's him saying "I'm out of here".

I liked him at WVU. I thought he would blossom in to a consistent scoring threat. However, his attitude and lack of a defensive "want to" doomed him.

IF he committed to defense, he would have been a huge help here as a 6th man/instant offense kind of guy. Frankly watching our offense is offensive at times. With our low post options, he would really open up the lanes with his range.

Problems are that he is selfish and feels he is above playing defense. What a shame. Essentially Drew Schafino without the street cred.

izzo was saying good things about harris in the first few games.

however...watching last night. i saw eron running around with his hands up screaming for the ball. he had no regard for teammates OR the offense. izzo took him out and he did not return. eron looked ready to quit msu the rest of the night.

i hate to see kids screw themselves up. but, unfortunately, keaton's wishes may come true for this kid.

"izzo was saying good things about harris in the first few games."

was that when he referred (in the press room) to Harris' will to defend as lower than girls HS basketball 30 years ago?

or when he spoke at halftime about how Harris needed to find a shot he didn't want to take for them to be successful?

just asking for clarification.

you know izzo said some positive things too.

but, you are apparently right. eron can't play team ball.

Kind of ironic then that he was able to start for two years under Huggins and average 22 and 31 minutes of playing time in those two seasons.

good lord. thank the Lord recruiting and luck took a turn for the better. i really like Hinds and i root for harris.

but....can you imagine a hinds, harris backcourt?

Simply because we had no other options. Huggins probably would have shot him, if he could have gotten away with it.

Paper, Izzo does not like this kid and must disagree. I have not heard one good thing about him from the MSU camp. He wont play defense and Izzo hate this. Also, for the record, Harris was trying to talk every player on our team into transferring and he caused major problems for our program. Its all about him.

LOL - WTF?

Huggins has been doing this a long time. Harris isn't the first snot he's run across.

I bet Huggins wishes nothing but the best for Eron.

I hope Eron succeeds. His failure won't make any of our lives better and there's no point of wishing him any ill will.

More than likely he'll reflect on this time in his life and realize he was his own worst enemy. Not uncommon for a kid his age.

By the midpoint in the 13-14 B12 conference season, Harris, Henderson, and Dibo were rarely associating with the team outside of practice and gameday..... Hell, Romeo lived with Terry and Eron and they didnt talk

The one main thing that made me scratch my head was not liking Huggins coaching stlye and going to play for Izzo. Seems like they are the same as far as intensity. I wish him well but he made a huge mistake. All he had to do was accept what Huggins was saying to him and he could have been a star at WVU. This WVU team would have been lethal if Harris and Henderson would have "bought in" and made a commitment to play defense along with the other players on this team. I would have traded Paige and Phillip for a completely devoted Harris and Henderson. But that's just wishful thinking and not the reality of the situation. Wish them both luck and hope they enjoy watching WVU getting better without them. At least they're closer to home[pfftt]

Guys, Keaton is 100% right on this one. Eron was a bad egg. Im sure Huggins wishes him well but make no mistake about what happened, and that is Harris was a huge problem for our program and he tried to get as many players to transfer or go pro as he could. He wanted to ruin our program. From what I hear he was close to get others to not come back as well.
